After the death of "King Of Skiffle", Lonnie Donegan (1931-2002), Bastian Korn (songwriter, pianist & singer of the "78 Twins") and Jazz band leader Lutz Eikelmann decided to the production of "An International Tribute To Lonnie Donegan", which is still worked on.

Nevertheless, in December, 2004 they organized two concerts under the motto " Remembering Lonnie Donegan " in Gelsenkirchen (10.12.04) and Essen Kettwig (11.12.04), and the Compilation CD " Remembering Lonnie Donegan " contains songs of all participants of these concerts:
Tony Donegan, Paul Leegan, Warren James, Dickie Bishop, all accompanied from Bastian Korn and his drums playing brother Benny as well as Lutz Eikelmann, furtehrmore the Dixieland Jazz band "Lutzemann's Jatzkapelle" and "Some Old Friends Skiffle Group" from Essen.
This CD contains the songs which are not published on the real Tributes album---collectors pay attention!

To the musicians:
- Dickie Bishop cooperated in 1955/56 with Lonnie Donegan in the Chris Barber Band; in 1956/57 he was briefly a member in Lonnies band, before he founded his own band, Dick Bishop & His Sidekicks. Later he worked again as a banjo player in the professional Jazz bands of Kenny Ball, Monty Sunshine, Roy Pellett, Rod Mason u.v.a .; between 1994 and 2000 he was invited by Chris Barber often to concerts with Van Morrison. 
Dickie's song " No Other Baby " came into being in 1957 in the high time of the Skiffle Music, he was covered by a lot of interpreters, Vipers Skiffle Group, Bobby Helm, Vince Eager, Jet Harris and Sir Paul McCartney.
- Paul Leegan was one of the narrowest friends of the King Of Skiffle and founded in 1997 with Lonnies blessings his Lonnie-Donegan-Tribute-Act. More about that point see please www.paulleegan.com
- Tony Donegan is the oldest son of Lonnie Donegan and works since 2003 as a professional musician with the musical "The story Of Lonnie D" wich is very successful in Great Britain. On 06.21.2004 he gave with his half brother Peter Donegan a concert to honour of his father in the legendary Royal Albert Hall in whom also Donegan admirers took part like Mark Knopfler, Joe Cocker, Roger Daltrey u.v.a.
