That much should be said in advance, CRIKEY means in the English colloquial language as much as "Oops" or "Oha.

The bandstory is told fast:
When Rob Balner left his band BloodRedAngel as a guitarist, he took care first of all of many other things for which before simply no time was. He took among other things song lessons and experimented cheerfully with new songs. Rob got into conversation with Chris Mieves (singer with Hate Factor) which was sighted always at the "Angel" concerts. Then after or during a Slayer concert in the delirium the foundation-stone was laid for CRIKEY. A band should be founded with adjustment ala DEVIN TOWNSEND, and then they also made it. Then Rob recorded songs with guitars, drumcomputer and guitarsynthie, to have already a half playback to rehearse. The texts and song melodies of Chris came along and the project CRIKEY was born. In addition Uwe Haas came in on the Keys. Then the EP (WElcome to my world) was recorded in the studio, with the help of Adriano Ricci (Night in Gales) on the drums, Schymy (Everon) & Blake (Coronation) on the bass, Klaus Spangenberg (BloodRedAngel) who delivered in the studio with Chris a vocal duell, Carola Weiwadel (guest VOCALS for the song LEAVE), Jochen Pelser (Hate Factor) who sat with "Welcome to my world" behind the regulators and Eroc the master king (www.eroc.de). THX!!! Now from the former project a band has crystallized. Andrea Justen came in on the violin and drummer legend Andreas Mantei.
