UNSOUND OF MIND exists since spring, 1998.
Several formation changes already took place in the course of the time. Almost all former and current band members got to know themselves by the youth jazz ensemble of the high school Trossingen in which they played once or still play.
Nevertheless, the music of UNSOUND OF MIND differs essentially from the school Bigband. Powerful guitar reefs and expressively Rap-and melody singing form the style of the band. Atmospheric ballads with striking keyboard and guitarsoli are likewise a component of their repertoire.

The band celebrated their biggest success up to now in 1999 when they won the 2nd place with the national newcomer's competition "Baden-Württemberg Rockt"  and got, beyond it, the trend price in '99 from the L.A.R.I.. As a result a song was played by UNSOUND OF MIND in the evening program schedule of SWR3.
Near many other successful participation in music competitions the winning of the Rock and Pop price in 2000 in Schramberg must be named. This got them an appearance as an Opener for DIE HAPPY before about 2000 spectators.
The name recognition of the band is in the constant growth.
